Just a suggestion... If there will still be a race event, could it be possible for players to create their own race ships? By create a ship I mean to give an option to buy special parts for the ship they use like custom skin, lights or engines. Perhaps even to make a few types of engines with better turn rate or acceleration? The use of these ships would be limited to races only of course  |

By the rules only clans can get custom ships. If we allow custom ships or custom parts (even if its "just" for a race ship) for everybody, players will overrun our moders.
So i would say... No, it not possible.
But lets hear what the other sheriffs and the marshals have to say about this.

Correct but if the prices for the parts are high i doubt that everyone would be able to afford them so how about limiting the race ships only to clans( with limitation of one or two race ships per clan at a high cost of course ) |

I agree with abyss.
Clans already have a custom skin for their ship and i dont think thel need more then that.

I see FL races as a test of skill and luck. I would not want to see races devolve into a mater of who has the most credits and can afford the most advanced devices.
Even if such modifications to the standard sector related engines are possible from a modding stand point, I don't want to see them introduced into races. Clan originated stylization of ships, such as skins, exhaust color, etc. would be acceptable IMO, but not any modification of performance.
Performance modifications, if possible, would make racing the province of the ultra rich only, and soon result in a modding nightmare.

Impossible - u need handbrake to drift ;D
Max u can finish a Dublin race is eagle with 600 cruise. After few trys and bumps u learn how to deal with some specific curves but focus and concentration is on HIGH than.

cause i tryed it once and that was not easy. u will need a few sheriffs around the racering to make sure that the players pass every ring. but u could make it like a little 1 on 1 race, winner moves on to the next round.
but i think that discussion belong to the admin section.
